As an avid sportsman and international volleyball player , he worked as the project manager that produced the winning bid for Durban to become the host city for the 2022 Common Wealth Games.


He has experience working with government officials at a ministerial level to working with department officials in steering committees managing  projects and was part of the South African Governments Presidential delegation to DRC in 2006 to assist the DRC government establish and strengthen their Public Works department.


Under his leadership and on behalf of DPW he managed the Devolution of Budgets to DPW client departments, conceptualisation and establishment of its Trading Entity.


He has also been involved in a variety of construction projects, including labour intensive projects.


Yogas was part of the team that drafted the GIAMA Act 19 of 2007 and has a good understanding of the governments immovable asset management policy, monitoring, reporting and supply chain management requirements.
